After learning about the water cycle and the importance of water, our first graders brainstormed ways to save water. Here are some of their ideas: Only take as much water as you need.Don’t pour water down the drain or on the ground. Use extra water to make ice.Save water to drink later.Pour extra water out over a plant.Pour extra water into a pet’s water bowl.Turn the water off when washing your hands or face or teeth.Use less water in the bathtub.Take shorter showers.Collect water in the shower to water your plants.Don’t flush the toilet every time.Don’t splash water out of the pool.Remind other people not to waste water!
